Police helicopter scrambled to search for missing Norwich pensioner

The police helicopter has been scrambled above Norwich to assist in finding a 78-year-old man who went missing from home this afternoon.

Roger Pearson was last seen leaving his home address in The Avenues, Norwich at around 1.30pm today.

He had been going for his usual daily walk which takes him on a route around Christchurch Road and the Ipswich Road area, but has failed to return home.

Roger is described as white, has medium length black hair and is 5’ 8” tall. When he was last seen, he was wearing a navy coloured t-shirt, black tracksuit bottoms and beige shoes.

Officers are concerned for his welfare and described him as a vulnerable missing person.

They are asking anyone who may have information on where Roger may be or anyone who might have seen him to contact Norfolk Police on 101.
