A large cannabis factory, containing almost 1000 plants has been discovered in Tharston near Long Stratton.

Police have unearthed a cannabis factory, consisting of 1000 plants and a large amount of hydroponics equipment at an industrial unit in Chequers Road, Tharston.

Officers searching the area made the discovery at around 2.30pm on Sunday, January 28.

Two men, one in his 50s and second in his 20s were arrested in connection with the incident and have been taken to Wymondham Police Investigation centre, where they remain in custody.

Detectives are investigating and a seal has been placed around the area whilst enquiries are on going.
