Police are keen to trace a man who drove a red car, with a green or blue rear door, following an incident in Higher Drive, Oulton Broad last night (Tuesday)

A 12-year-old girl was walking along the road, north of Gresham Avenue, about 6.20pm yesterday when the car pulled up alongside her and the driver – a man described as in his 40s to 50s, with scruffy dark hair and a dark beard – tried to engage her in conversation through the open window.

The girl continued on her way and then hid so she couldn’t be seen.

The man in the car then drove past her and the girl returned home to report the incident.

Officers are asking the man or anyone who recognises either his description or that of the vehicle, to call PC Kevyn Durrant at Lowestoft police on 101.
