British Transport Police are appealing for information after two men attacked a ticket machine at Watlington Rail station.

The men targeted the machine and tried to get into it with a drill at about 11.45pm on Monday, August 18.

Detective Constable Matt Nolan said: “The men were disturbed when trying to get into the machine and made off towards the village where, it is believed, they got into a unknown vehicle and drove away.

“We don’t have descriptions of the men, though we know one was small and the taller one was wearing a red scarf. We also know they used a yellow power drill to try to gain access to the machine.”

Anyone with information should call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

All calls should quote log ESUB/B15 and 27/8/14.
