Police appeal after man knocked unconscious with bottle in Thetford

Police have launched an appeal for witnesses after a man in his twenties was knocked unconscious during an incident in Thetford.

The incident happened in the car park off Tanner Street when the victim was approached by a group of three men.

A member of the group, who was riding a bike, hit the victim with a bottle knocking him unconscious. The victim suffered cuts to his head and hands which required hospital treatment.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident which happened between 11.45pm on Saturday, August 2 and 12.30am on Sunday, August 3.

Witnesses should contact PC Lee Parker at Thetford Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
