Photograph shows aftermath of collision between car and mobility scooter in Lowestoft

Traffic in Lowestoft along the A12 has been disrupted this morning after a black Fiat car was involved in a collision with a man on a mobility scooter.

The collision happened on the junction of Yarmouth Road and Hollingsworth Road and was reported to police at 11.27am with reports it was causing traffic problems.

A police spokesman said the man on the mobility scooter is not believed to have suffered any serious injures, but he had complained of neck and hand pain.

An ambulance was also called.
