She was using the crossing outside the old Norfolk and Norwich Hospital in St Stephens Road when a black Vauxhall Astra, heading towards Ipswich Road, was in collision with her and her disabled shopping trolley.

Officers from Wymondham Road Policing are appealing for witnesses to the collision which took place at about 11.35am, on Thursday, March 7.

PC Bob Warrent, Wymondham Roads Policing, would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, in particular the large group of college students using the route at that time, or the manner of driving of the vehicle prior to the collision. He can be contacted on 101.
