A townhouse was ransacked by burglars on Tuesday.

Norwich police are appealing after a burglary overnight in Old Library Mews, when burglars gained access to a townhouse through an insecure rear ground-floor window.

They searched the address and garage and took a Minn Kota outboard engine, gold pocket watch, suitcase, car key, tobacco, Xbox games console and controllers. Commemorative silver coins and a quantity of foreign currency were also stolen during the burglary.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed anyone acting suspiciously in the area between 5.45pm on Tuesday, July 24 and 11am on Wednesday, July 25.

Police would also like to hear from anyone concerning the whereabouts of the stolen property.
