She has sold programmes at Norwich City for 30 years but from today 67-year-old Christine Kett will be sadly absent from her regular spot outside the City stand.
The mother-of-four said she will be 'gutted' to not be selling the club's matchday programme to her 'wonderful' customers she has got to know over the past three decades when Watford visit Carrow Road for City's first home game of the Championship campaign.
However, the grandmother-of-eight, one of four programme sellers to lose their pitches following a club review, also wanted to thank them for all their support over the years.
Mrs Kett, who lives in Albany Road, near Waterloo Road, with her husband Roger, said: 'I loved it. I started in 1984 and I did 30 years off and on.
'I didn't have a lot of friends around here because I come from Cornwall but I've made some good friends at the football club. 'I wanted to express my thanks to all my customers over the years. Working as a programme seller I have met some lovely people, both Norwich City supporters and supporters from the many away teams that we have played against.'
Mrs Kett first found out she might be surplus to requirements earlier this summer following a meeting held by the club where vendors were informed of changes to the way they worked.
The letter explained that owing to the club's relegation from the Premiership and subsequent loss in revenue of about 50pc a review of operations had to be carried out, identifying savings where possible.
It added that 'in recognition' of the service of those who lost their jobs would also be offered discount season tickets.
Chief executive David McNally had previously admitted jobs may have to go at the club following relegation, but it has not been revealed how many.
Mrs Kett will still be at the game on Saturday as she is a season ticket holder and said her favourite memory as a fan was winning the Milk Cup in 1985.
She added: 'The Milk Cup run I loved that. That was the best time really.'
