The man who was assaulted outside a bar in Norwich is now in a stable condition.
Detectives are investigating the assault which happened outside All Bar One in Norwich in the early hours of Saturday morning.
At about 4.15am, a man in his late 30s from the Norwich area received a serious head injury after falling to the pavement outside the bar which is on Upper King Street, Tombland.
He was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in a critical condition but is now stable.
A man in his late 20s from the Great Yarmouth was arrested in connection with the incident but has now been bailed.
Detective Sergeant Jon Church, Norwich CID, would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information regarding it.
