A Norfolk police officer has been dismissed following a misconduct hearing.
PC Marc Evans was dismissed without notice subject to appeal after his conduct was found to have breached the expected standards of professional behaviour.
A misconduct hearing held at Norfolk Constabulary’s headquarters in Wymondham heard PC Evans had failed to take appropriate action in response to a report of a crime.
Other conduct alleged at the hearing, included that he disobeyed lawful instruction not to access details of an incident, that he was untruthful about action taken in respect of a crime file and that he attended a training course without authorisation.
All allegations were heard at hearing chaired by legally qualified chair James Tumbridge on Monday, October 30.
A police spokesman confirmed PC Evans had been dismissed without notice subject to appeal.
