No police action over care worker arrested after Norwich woman’s death

A care worker who was arrested in connection with the death of a woman at a residential home in Norwich will face no further police action.

The woman in her 50s from the Hethersett area was arrested following the death of a resident in her 80s at Heathcote residential home in Unthank Road on April 30.

A Norfolk Constabulary spokesperson said: “Following extensive inquiries and advice from the Crown Prosecution Service there was no evidence to prove a criminal offence had taken place.”

Police sealed off a number of rooms at the privately-owned Heathcote residential home in Unthank Road, after the woman was found dead in May.

Neither the care worker nor the pensioner were named.
