Nine people have been arrested and bailed following the execution of a drugs warrant at a pub in Wymondham at the weekend.
Officers executed the warrant at the Queen's Head pub on Bridewell Street between Friday May 16 at 9.40pm and Saturday May 17 at 1.10am.
Five men aged from 20 to 52, three women aged 19, 25 and 44 and one female who was street bailed were arrested for personal possession of controlled class A drugs or on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.
All have been released on bail until the end of July pending further enquiries.
One man living nearby described hearing 'commotion' around the time.
'I heard quite a bit of noise near mine on Friday night, but I didn't think much of it at the time.
'There seemed to be a lot of people and quite a bit of noise, and I thought I heard police. I didn't think too much of it as it is just a pub on a Friday night,' he said.
Additional staff from public order areas and the Special Constabulary were also involved.
The licensing team were present to test surface areas for controlled drugs and a drugs dog assisted with the search of the premises.
Chief Inspector Stuart Armes, South Norfolk Policing Commander, said: 'This drugs warrant was executed as part of a number of planned operations targeted at licenced premises found to be contravening the licensing objectives.
'This was a successful operation which will send out a clear message to licencees and owners that criminal activity will not be tolerated.'
