A burglary that saw a number of sentimental items stolen from a property has had a 'massive impact' on the victim.

Police are appealing for information following the burglary, which took place in Weston Longville between 7.30am and 3.45pm on Tuesday May 8.

Electrical items and jewellery were stolen during the break-in.

Investigating officer, T/Detective Constable Cormac Harrison said: 'This burglary has had a massive impact on the victim as a locket containing their son's hair, who sadly died from cancer a few years ago, was taken. Their late father's World War II Burma Cross medal, Service medal and Medical Core medal were also stolen.

'I am particularly keen to speak with two men who were seen driving a white transit style vehicle, with a black flatbed, in the area who may have information to assist the investigation.'

If you saw any suspicious activity in the area, or if you have any information, contact T/DC Cormac Harrison at Norwich CID on 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
