A man was left with a fractured jaw after he was punched unconscious in Norwich.

The incident in Magdalen Road happened between 8pm and 9pm on Tuesday.

The victim had been walking along the road near to Tesco Metro when he was approached by a group of men, and started talking to one of them.

He was punched in the face causing him to fall to the floor.

He received further punches while on the floor resulting in him losing consciousness.

The victim suffered a fractured jaw and remains in hospital receiving treatment.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning those responsible.
