Police issued a CCTV image of someone they wanted to speak to after items of mail were taken from a postbox in Field Lane in Kessingland in November.

A police spokesman said: “On December 13 we issued an appeal for help in tracing a man after items were taken from the postbox on Saturday, November 19. A member of the public had noticed a man who appeared to have letters from the postbox in his pocket.”

The 36-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Monday, January 14), and was taken into custody where he was interviewed about the incident.

He has now been bailed to return to police on March 25, pending further inquiries.
