Man appears in court charged with drugs offences and possessing illegal weapons in Lowestoft

A 24-year-old Lowestoft man has appeared in court charged with eight offences – including possession of ketamine with intent to supply, supplying cannabis and possession of two illegal weapons.
Jamie Hill, of Tedder Road, Lowestoft, was originally arrested on November 17 last year and a quantity of ketamine, cash, an electric stun gun disguised as a mobile phone and a can of pepper spray were seized from an address in Tedder Road.
He was bailed while further inquiries were carried out.
Last Friday, April 4, Lowestoft-based Territorial Support Team officers carried out a drugs warrant at a home in Tedder Road shortly after 7am and a quantity of cannabis, cash and mobile phones were seized from the property.
A police spokesman said: “Jamie Hill was arrested and taken into custody where he was interviewed by officers before he was subsequently charged with eight offences.
“He was detained in custody and appeared at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Saturday (April 5), charged with supplying cannabis, possession of ketamine with intent to supply, two counts of possession of a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid, gas, electrical incapacitation device, possession of cannabis, possession of Mephedrone and two counts of acquiring, using, possessing criminal property.
“He was then remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance and is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday, April 15.”
