A 30-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of theft and questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre.

Both suspects, who are from the Norwich area, were released on bail until Friday May 23 while enquiries continue.

It follows an incident on Saturday April 5 when the victim, a man in his 50s, walked on St Martin’s Road using a stick. After suffering a fall he was helped by a man and woman who walked him home to The Watering.

The victim then got his wallet out of his pocket, and the man snatched it from his hand before running off with the woman back towards St Martin’s Road.
