Man suffers facial injuries after being attacked and robbed in Lowestoft alleyway

Police are seeking witnesses after a 26-year-old man was reportedly robbed of cash and his phone in Lowestoft.
Officers are asking anyone who was in the Stanford Street area of Lowestoft about 11.55pm on Monday to 12.10am on Tuesday to come forward after the man was attacked and robbed in an alleyway.
A police spokesman said: “We were contacted just after 10.30am yesterday (Tuesday, February 26), by the 26-year-old who reported that he had been walking in the area about midnight when he saw two men standing outside the Stanford Arms.
“As he walked into an alleyway at the end of the road, leading to Love Road, he saw the two were following him. He was then assaulted by one of the men and the pair demanded he hand over items. He was assaulted again and was then searched with the two taking his Sony Erickson phone and a quantity of cash. Both offenders then ran off towards Love Road.”
The 26-year-old man suffered bruising to his eye. The attackers are described as white and in their late teens to mid 20s. One was about 5ft 11ins to 6ft tall, with stubble on his face, and wore a short black coat, blue jeans and a black woollen hat, while the second was aboutd 5ft 10ins to 5ft 11ins tall, and wore a scarf partially over his face, a white baseball-style cap, a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up over the cap and dark coloured jeans.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time or anyone with information about who the two men are.
