Man in his 80s taken to hospital after collision near Lowestoft

A man in his 80s has been taken to hospital following a collision in Oulton Broad.

Police were called out following reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian, at 2.15pm today (Friday).

A police spokesman said: “We were called to Oulton Broad following reports of a road traffic collision involving a Toyota Corolla and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a man in his 80s, has been taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston as a precaution for checks, while the lady driver has been taken home.”

The collision caused delays on the A1117 Bridge Road, following the incident that happened near to Holly Road, but traffic is now flowing once more.
