A MAN was hit over the head with a hammer while walking through Gorleston.
The victim, who is in his 40s, suffered cuts and bruises to his head and a hand injury after being assaulted by three men, one of whom attacked him with the hammer.
The man was walking on Springfield Road towards Bells Road between 6pm and 6.30pm on Saturday (December 1). After the attack the three men ran off towards Bells Road.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the attack and asking anyone with information to contact them. Call DC Kevin Maskell on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
