Man charged with criminal damage after attack on Halal Butcher shop in Norwich

A man has been charged with criminal damage following an attack on the Halal Butcher shop in Magdalen Street, Norwich.

Police were called to the shop, owned by Mohamed Haider, at about 11.20pm on Tuesday July 25 after a brick was thrown at the shop door.

Jamie Lee, 46, of Heathgate, Norwich, was arrested and taken to the Wymondham Police Investigation for questioning.

Police said Lee has been charged with racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage and is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday September 1.
