Police are seeking witnesses after a man was injured as trouble flared in an altercation in St Johns Road, Kirkley.

Officers were initially called to reports of a fight in the street, about 9.55am yesterday (Tuesday, May 6).

They arrived to find a man with a bike with a red lump on his head and blood on his hand. He told officers he had been cycling along the road when he passed a man, described as white, wearing jeans and black hooded top, who had shouted out. The cyclist – a 30-year-old man – stopped and was then assaulted by the man, who was accusing him of supplying drugs.

■ Information to PC Jade Daly at Lowestoft police on 101.
