Magistrates bail boy charged in connection with death of Connor Barrett in Hemsby

A 15-year-old charged as part of an investigation into the death of 20-year-old Connor Barrett has been given conditional bail by Norwich magistrates.
Connor, from Abyssinia Close, Great Yarmouth, died as a result of a fatal stab wound inflicted at a private party held at Hemsby on Saturday, May 10.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with possession of an offensive weapon, actual bodily harm and affray.
Lead magistrate Jim Agnew imposed conditions including where he had to live, a curfew from 7pm to 7am, restrictions on visits to Great Yarmouth and Hemsby, and banning him from making any contact with seven named individuals.
He was told to appear at Norwich Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on Friday, June 13.
