Two students had a lucky escape this morning after a fire broke out in their Earlham home.

The fire started at around 6.45am at a house in Hanbury Close, off Friends Road.

Fifteen firefighters from Earlham, Carrow and Sprowston spent nearly an hour tackling the fire.

They rescued two unconscious students from the home who were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
