Police are appealing after a holidaymaking family’s car was broken into near Brandon.
The window was smashed and around £2,000 of property stolen, including an HP G6 laptop, a large family suitcase containing clothing, and a 33-year-old toy elephant of sentimental value.
The crime occurred between 2pm and 2.20pm on Monday in the overflow car park of Brandon Country Park.
The victims were travelling home to Berkshire from north Norfolk, and had stopped briefly at the park to stretch their legs when the break-in happened.
The car, a white Ford S-Max people carrier, had its blacked-out rear window smashed.
GHD hair straighteners and children’s soft toys were also snatched by thieves.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crime to come forward.
