Police have charged a 20-year-old man with possession of a knife in a public place after he was arrested just yards from a school as children made their way home.
Officers were called to Canterbury Way in Thetford at 3.05pm yesterday, Monday, February 4, to reports of a man with a knife.
Police attended the scene and the man entered a property on Chester Way.
Officers entered the property and a 20-year-old man from Thetford was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place.
Artjoms Zaharcuks, of Chester Way, in Thetford has been charged with possession of a knife in a public place in relation to the incident. He is due before Bury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, February 19.
Police in Norwich have launched an investigation after a woman claimed in a tweet she had knocked a cyclist off their bike.
