A 32-year-old paedophile from King's Lynn is in custody after he today pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a two-year-old girl.
Karl West, of Bishops Road, admitted the abuse when he appeared before Judge Stephen Warner at St Albans Crown Court.
West also pleaded guilty to taking six indecent photographs and a video of a child, as well as making 44 indecent images and 19 movies of a child.
He was changing his pleas, having previously denied all the charges when he appeared before Judge Michael Kay on June 1. All the crimes were committed in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
Judge Warner ordered a fourth charge, relating to possession of extreme pornographic images involving people and live animals, to lie on file.
The judge remanded West in custody. He is set to be sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on October 11.
