Norfolk police investigating assault on the town’s Fairstead estate.
Officers were called to a property in Freiston, on the Fairstead estate, at around 1am where a man was found with serious injuries.
He was taken to the nearby Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn before being transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for further treatment.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said a crew was called at 1.12am and paramedics arrived seven minutes later to treat the man, whose age is not known.
A Norfolk Police spokesman said the man was in a ‘critical but stable condition’ and enquiries into the circumstances were continuing.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information regarding it should contact King’s Lynn CID on 101.
Naturists are to be banned from a nationally-renowned Norfolk beach following complaints about anti-social behaviour committed in the area.
