Jewellery, electrical items and morphine stolen in Lowestoft house burglary as home is broken into on Christmas Day

Two digital cameras – a Nikon and a Samsung - a tablet computer, a laptop computer, items of jewellery and a quantity of morphine were stolen after someone broke into a home at Celandine Close in Carlton Colville on Christmas Day.

The householder returned to the premises to find a window had been forced open and items including a Help for Heroes limited edition watch, a Russian style gold wedding ring and a large black faux-leather courier type bag containing the electrical items had been taken between 10.15am and 8.30pm on Wednesday (December 25).

Two half-used blister packs of morphine were also stolen and police are warning that these prescription drugs could be dangerous if taken by anyone they are not prescribed for.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area between these times, anyone with information about the burglar or burglars, or anyone who may have been offered similar items for sale since to call Det Con 914 Brotherston at Lowestoft CID on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously if required, on 0800 555 111.
