Here is our monthly look back at some of the criminals jailed in Norfolk courts in September.
• A 32-year-old man was jailed for three years after a jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting a vice girl in Norwich.
Gavin Newton, of Canterbury Place, Norwich, paid the 18 year-old £20 for sex after picking her up on Ber Street after a night out, but when she objected to his rough behaviour he sexually assaulted her before stealing her handbag and riding off on his bike, Norwich Crown Court was told. He previously admitted theft of the handbag.
• A man was jailed for two years after falsely claiming he had been kidnapped at knife point in Norwich. Troy Wood, 27, of West Pottergate, claimed a man had entered his car and threatened him with a knife.
Wood alleged the man made him drive around various villages for two hours before making him stop and taping him to the driver's seat. It was also claimed the 'suspect' had used Wood's phone to demand £5,000 from his girlfriend or he would be killed. He was charged with fraud and perverting the course of justice. He was sentenced to four years in prison; two years for fraud and two years for perverting the course of justice.
• A 35-year-old woman who groomed a young boy for sex was jailed for five-and-a-half years and placed on the sex offenders' register for life.
Jodie Delray, of Easthaugh Road, Lyng, was convicted following a nine-day trial of sex assault and sexual activity with the boy, who was aged about 12 to 13 at the time of the abuse, Norwich Crown Court heard.
• A man who was discovered to have an illegal stun gun when police searched his home was jailed for two years three months for a number of offences.
Charlie Emmerson, 22, of Rosedale Gardens, Belton, was found in possession of the prohibited weapon, which was spotted lying in an open safe at his address, Norwich Crown Court heard. He admitted possession of a prohibited weapon and handling stolen goods, as two stolen motocross bikes worth about £8,000 were seized from a lock-up garage he rented. He was also found guilty following a trial of a charge of dangerous driving in Great Yarmouth.
• A 21-year-old woman was jailed two years after she lunged at a police officer with a knife. Stacey Sadler, 21, was at her boyfriend's address in Rosary Road, in Norwich, when they refused a police officer entry and after initially holding the knife to her throat she lunged at the officer with the blade, Norwich Crown Court heard.
The court heard Sadler had long a history of anti-social behaviour, and in 2013 was made subject of a Conviction-Related Anti-Social Behaviour Order (crasbo), banning her from entering Holt for two years. She admitted two counts of affray, criminal damage and assault.
• A former social worker who groomed two children he went on to abuse was jailed for 12 years by a judge, who said he posed a 'significant' risk.
Jonathan Button, 62, formerly of Hotson Road, Southwold, admitted nine sexual offences involving a young boy and girl and also breaching his sex offender's notification order by not telling police where he was living. Recorder John Gallagher imposed a 17 year extended sentence made up of a 12 year jail sentence and five years on extended licence.
