Police need to trace a man who was riding a moped after a car window was smashed in an incident in Oulton this morning (Wednesday, February 20).
A 19-year-old man was sat in his Fiat Punto at temporary traffic lights in Sands Lane – near the Penny Lane junction – about 11.40am when the moped – described as black and with a P-registration - pulled up alongside him and the rider told him to get out of the car.
When the teenager refused, the man punched a window of the car, causing it to smash, before he rode off. The 19-year-old was uninjured.
The offender is described as white, in his late 20s to early 40s, of slim build and about 5ft 9ins to 5ft 10ins tall. He was wearing a black helmet, a black leather jacket, blue jeans and gloves with plastic knuckles.
A police spokesman said: “Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time this morning or anyone with information about the moped rider.”
● If you can help please call PC 1475 Plummer at Lowestoft police on 101.
