A former Norfolk headteacher has been charged with a number of serious sexual offences against a pupil at a private school.

David William Tuohy, of White Horse Road, Oxford, has been charged with four counts of sexual assault and four counts of buggery at Eccles Hall School, now known as New Eccles Hall School in Quidenham.

The offences are alleged to have taken place in the mid-1970s and the victim was a boy under the age of 13.

Tuohy was bailed to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
