Great Yarmouth man facing burglary and criminal damage offences

A GREAT Yarmouth man is due in court this morning charged with burglary and criminal damage offences following incidents at three shops in the town.

Simon Wells, 37, of Priory Plain, was arrested in the early hours of November 5 in connection with an incident at a shop in Camden Road.

He was interviewed and bailed for further enquiries and when he answered bail earlier this month was charged with three offences; criminal damage at the shop at Camden Road, criminal damage at a garage in Northgate Street on the same morning where glass in a door was smashed with a brick, and a burglary at a shop in King Street, also on November 5, where bottles of spirits worth more than £170 were stolen.

He is now due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court this morning (Wednesday).
