Junior Mampuya, 21 and Apio Gomes, 20, both of St Peters Road, have each been charged by police with three counts of assault, occasioning grievous bodily harm.

They are due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’s Court tomorrow.

They were arrested after police were called to St Peters Road shortly before 9.40pm following reports of a fight in the street involving a number of people.

Officers arrived on scene to find three people with knife wounds – two minor and one serious – and all three were taken to the James Paget University Hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Local commander, Chief Inspection Nathan Clark, said: “Following the incident, officers have been carrying out increased patrols in the area, speaking to local residents and business owners to address and issues they may have.

“We’re also still keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and hasn’t yet spoken with police.”

Anyone with information should contact Great Yarmouth CID on 101.
