Luke Fryer, of Brasenose Avenue, was arrested yesterday (Sunday) following the incident in Trafalgar Road West, and taken into custody.

The 22 year old was subsequently charged with taking a vehicle – a Honda off-road motorcycle - without consent, failing to stop a vehicle when required to do so by an officer, riding a motor vehicle on a footpath, driving with no licence and driving with no insurance.

He is now due to appear at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 11.

The arrest and charge comes as part of a police crack down on motorbike thefts and in anti-social vehicle use in the Gorleston area.
