The charges relate to an incident at the Tesco Extra store in Pasteur Road, Great Yarmouth.

It happened at approximately 7.45pm on Tuesday when items were stolen and staff were then threatened by a man with a knife.

He appeared at Great Yarmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday afternoon and the case was formally sent to Norwich Crown Court on January 4.

Loombe was remanded in custody until the next hearing at crown court in the new year.
