Four arrested after beach hut is broken into in Lowestoft

Two men, a woman and a teenage girl have been arrested after a beach hut on Jubilee Parade in Lowestoft was broken into yesterday afternoon (Monday).

Police were contacted by an observant local just after 3.50pm, who reported four people were trying to break into a beach hut.

Officers immediately attended and the four – a 20-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, a 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl – were arrested at the scene and were taken into custody.

All four were interviewed before being bailed to return to police on March 24, while further inquiries are carried out.

Officers are asking anyone who was in the area around this time, or anyone who has information about the incident, to call PC 1731 Brown at Lowestoft police on 101.
