A former headteacher of a private school, in Norfolk, has denied a number of serious sexual offences when he appeared at Norwich Crown Court and a date has been set for his trial, in November.
A former Norfolk headteacher has denied a number of serious sexual offences against a pupil when he appeared at Norwich Crown Court.
David William Tuohy, 82, of White Horse Road, Oxford denied four serious sexual assaults and four counts of indecent assault, at Eccles Hall School, now known as New Eccles Hall School, in Quidenham.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in the mid-1970s.
Tuohy, who was dressed in a tweed jacket and beige trousers, was allowed to be seated while the charges were put to him and he also had the aid of the court loop system, so he could hear the proceedings from the dock.
Judge Katharine Moore fixed a further hearing for September 26, and the trial is expected to be heard on November 24.
He was given conditional bail.
