A man has issued a plea to find his late wife’s wedding ring which was stolen during a burglary at his home near Beccles.

Keith Glover’s home in Guildhall Road, Worlingham, was broken into some time over the bank holiday weekend from 5.30pm on April 18th to 6am on April 21. Mr Glover, who was away for the weekend with his three children, came home to find his house had been broken into, with his wife Denise’s wedding ring among the items stolen.

Mr Glover said the ring holds “treasured memories” for him and his children, but has little value to anyone else. His wife was 48 when she passed away in 2011.

The ring is a gold band with stars engraved around it. Other items stolen included a laptop, iPod, trainers, football shirts and several other pieces of jewellery.

Mr Glover said he had hoped to pass the ring onto his two daughters, aged 16 and 11.

Police are connecting the burglary with another break in at Pepys Avenue in Worlingham which took place overnight on April 19.

Anyone with information should call DC John Beales at Waveney CID on 101, or if you have any information about the whereabouts of the ring call Mr Glover on 01502 711744.
