Police are appealing for witnesses after an emergency coastguard phone was smashed.

The was in a box on the lower esplanade of Marine Parade in Gorleston when it was damaged between 7pm and 8.45pm on Sunday.

The handset was left snapped in half.

Witnesses, or anyone with information about the incident, should call PC Jamie Robson on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
