A dog walker has been the victim of an attempted robbery in Norwich.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Lakenham Way on Friday. A man in his late 30s was walking his dog along the footpath between about 1.45pm and 2pm when, as he was going up steps onto Hall Road, he was approached by three men. One of the men had a beige and white pitbull terrier on a chain lead, and the three men threatened the victim verbally before one of them grabbed hold of him. The victim fought him off and ran off up Hall Road. The victim did not lose any property but suffered a slight injury.

Two of the three men are described as being white. One of the three men is believed to have been wearing a mid length green duffle jacket and another, a black hooded jacket.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information should contact DC Carly Jermy on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
