A much-loved pet has gone missing after a burglary at her owner's home.
Guinness the West Highland terrier has not been seen since the door of Aaron Pegues's house at Smallworth, between Thetford and Diss, was forced at the beginning of the month.
Nothing else was stolen during the break-in, which happened between 11pm and midnight on Monday, November 6.
Mr Pegues, who has owned seven-year-old Guinness for five years, said: 'She's very friendly, very outgoing. I'm not 100pc sure whether they've stolen her or she's got out. They kicked the door in and left it open after they left.'
Det Sgt Mark Glister said, 'The offence of burglary of your home is a horrible crime for any victim to experience. But as in this case, where the victim has had their much loved pet taken, makes that impact so much more shocking and deplorable.'
Today it emerged a West Highland was spotted muddy and 'looking sorry for itself' in Norwich, near Dolphin Bridge in the Mile Cross area. A friend of Mr Pegues said: 'We don't know for sure if it was Guinness or not. I have posted flyers around the area and called local vets and dog rescues. It was all in case she was taken and was dumped. We just don't know so I'm trying to cover all bases.'
