An 82-year-old woman had put her purse on the shelf while she looked at some items but then accidentally left it behind when she moved on. Moments later she realised her mistake and went back to the shelf but the purse had gone.

Officers are keen to speak to a white man in his 40s, with a receding hairline who was wearing a long sleeve shirt, knee length combat-style shorts and black trainers in connection with the theft and are now issuing CCTV images in a bid to trace him.

● If you recognise the man please call PC 1646 Sillett on 101.
