The incident took place at around 1.30pm on Saturday, near the A149 Knights Hill roundabout in the town.

The victim was driving a black Vauxhall Corsa towards the roundabout from the Hunstanton direction, when he was overtaken by the driver of a grey Volkswagen Golf.

The driver of the Golf subsequently got out of his vehicle and approached the Corsa, verbally abused the driver and his passenger before spitting through the open window and driving off in the direction of the town centre.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have seen what happened. They would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen either vehicle prior to the incident.

Witnesses are asked to contact PC Maria Lambert on 101.
