Detectives in Norwich are appealing for information following a spate of burglaries in the city.

A window to a flat in Duke Street was forced open between 8.45am and 7.20pm on Monday and just over £100 in cash was stolen following a search of the property.

Between 4pm and 7.20pm on Sunday, a burglar broke into a terraced house in Silver Street after smashing a hole in the back door in order to reach in and turn the key which was in the lock. A stainless steel Giorgio Armani watch was stolen following a search.

In Leonards Street, near to Anglia Square, a back door of a house was forced open between 6pm and midnight on Friday. A laptop and an iPhone 3 were taken from the dining room table.

Jewellery and a MacBook were stolen from a townhouse in Mill Hill Road on Monday January 27 between 4.45pm and 7.30pm. The offender broke into the house after smashing glass pane in a window, allowing access to the lock so it could be opened fully.

The break-ins come after Norfolk Police launched an operation targeting burglars, which has resulted in 20 arrests since December.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Con Damian Shailer about the Duke Street burglary, Det Con Andy Tomlinson about the Silver Street break-in, and Det Con Mike Cox about the Leonards Street and Mill Hill Road burglaries at Norwich CID on 101.
