Zoe Flint’s home on Cowper Road in Dereham was damaged and her teenage daughter was left shaken after a 4x4 ploughed into the wall on Thursday, January 10 at about 5pm.

The edge of the wall collapsed and Ms Flint’s home, where she runs her massage business, shuddered at the impact of the crash.

Ms Flint said she hopes the driver or someone who knows him or her will come forward.

She said: “It’s scary to think someone would do that and just drive off without any respect.

“If it had been a hour earlier there would have been lots of schoolchildren walking past and it could have been worse.”

Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene with a smashed headlight and, according to witnesses, nearly missed hitting an elderly pedestrian.

Inquiries are ongoing but officers are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to make contact or witnesses to come forward.

Call PC David Reed at Norfolk police on 101.
