A woman has appeared at court charged with threatening to kill a man and carrying a knife.
Deborah Gammell, 27, of Walnut Way, Dereham, only spoke to confirm her name, date of birth and address at King’s Lynn Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Gammell, who was smartly dressed and appeared calm and composed as she sat and listened to the hearing, did not enter a plea to the charges against her.
Two of charges relate to an incident in Dereham on August 22 where it is alleged Gammell made threats to kill a man to another man and a police officer which lead both to believe the threat would be carried out.
The 27-year-old has also been accused of having a knife with her in a public place on August 17.
Magistrates declined jurisdiction on the matter. Lead magistrate Elaine Bird said: “We have heard what has been said and we have decided this matter should be heard at crown court.”
The Dereham resident was released on conditional bail and told to reappear in front of Lynn Magistrates again on November 7.
