Cyclist taken to hospital after collision in Lowestoft

A 27-YEAR-OLD cyclist has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm, cuts and bruises after a collision in Lowestoft.
Police, the ambulance service and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were all called out about 12.20pm today (Friday) following reports of a collision between a car and a bicycle.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at 12.20pm today to St Peter’s Street, at the junction of Beresford Road, following a collision between a blue Vauxhall Vectra car and a pushbike. A 27-year-old lady - the cyclist - was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston with a suspected broken arm, cuts and bruises after there was a collision as she biked along St Peters Street.
“The air ambulance did attend, and the cyclist was the only person hurt, but she was taken by road ambulance to hospital.”
