Copper cable thieves cause road closure and power disruption in Walsingham

A road is currently closed and homes have been left without power following disruption caused by cable thieves in Walsingham, near Fakenham.

Scarborough Road is currently closed due to power cables being down after thieves attempted to steal overhead copper cables shortly before 3am today (May 16).

EDF energy are currently on scene working to restore power to the affected areas as soon as possible.

Norfolk Police would like to hear from anybody who has any information about this crime, which will potentially cause some disruption to the local community today.
